The Honor Guard is a joint VFW Post 4719 and American Legion Post 797 organization. The Honor
Guard was established so the members can pay respect to our deceased brothers and sisters and to
show their families our appreciation for the departed veteran’s service. The Color Guard also
participates in honoring our veterans on Memorial Day, marches in the parades to celebrate
Independence and Veterans Days and participates in civic assemblies such as raising the National Colors
before each home football games at Gahanna Lincoln High school. We are always in need of new
members. If you have an occasional few hours to volunteer it would be much appreciated.
If you feel you would like to contribute to this important duty for the veterans and community please contact our Captain of the Color Guard, Gary Filaseta at (614) 905-1606, gafilaseta51@gmail.com; or call the VFW Post, 614-475-9111.
