WELCOME TO TRI-COMMUNITY POST

Post 4719
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA AND CHRISTMAS PARTY CANCELLED

Due to the rapid rise of Covid-19 cases within Franklin County we felt it best to cancel these events to help prevent our Post being a site where we endangered our members and their families.

December Commander’s Message

I would like to start by thanking everyone that attended the November 11th Veterans Day Ceremony.  There was a small but honorable group of members and guests that attended.  The ceremony included the Honor Guard, VFW Auxiliary and the VFW.  Thank you all.

On the evening of Veterans Day we sponsored a retirement ceremony for our National Colors.  The ceremony was conducted by Cub Scout Pack 98 and Scout Troop 98 from Stonybrook Church and included approximately 50 scouts and family members.  There were over 100 flags that were no longer in a serviceable condition retired.  It was a very respectful and honorable ceremony.  Thank you, Andrea Gonzalez (Cub Master), Pack 98, Troop 98 and their leaders.

As you may have heard our annual Breakfast with Santa and Post Christmas Dinner has been canceled.  I don’t believe an explanation as to why needs to be addressed here.  I hope these may be the last such events that will need to be canceled for this year and next.

On December 7th we will have a short Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony at our Post Memorial, by the howitzer, at 11:00 AM.

I would like to thank everyone that has continued to support the Post.  The management and staff have continued to ensure our facility is clean and safe.  However, this could not be possible without the support of our members and guests.  We respect everyone’s decision to keep safe by doing whatever you feel will keep yourself safe and healthy.

Thank Y’all for your support

Richard Leister
